OSWEGO, NY, – Leave A Legacy of Oswego County will be hosting a workshop entitled “The Ask†for local non-profits on Oct. 30 from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. at Springside at Seneca Hill.
The seminar is free for one person from member agencies, $7 for additional members and $15 for non-members.
A continental breakfast will be provided.
Speakers will be Mary Canale, SUNY Oswego regarding High Level Donor Relationships and Jeff Wallace, Step One Creative regarding Middle Level Donor Relationships.
Leave A Legacy (LAL) is a community-based program designed to help people learn about charitable giving through a will or estate plan.
“We are excited about offering this opportunity for the local non-profits,†said Mercedes Neiss, chair of the membership committee. “This workshop will better prepare agencies to communicate their mission and needs to potential funders.â€ÂÂ
In addition to brochures and an annual publicity campaign, membership dues for Leave A Legacy also support this type of training for member agencies.
