Limited Fort Parking During Harborfest

OSWEGO, NY – As a safety measure to protect hundreds of children from vehicle traffic in the Novelis Children’s Park at Fort Ontario, there will be limited public parking during Harborfest on Fort Ontario’s grounds.

Parking will only be available on Friday and Saturday for vehicles with Handicapped identification (tags or plates), vendors, staff, registered Friends of Fort Ontario and Harborfest volunteers.

Visitors and fireworks viewers are encouraged to utilize the trolleys or the Fitzgibbons lot east of the fort.

Regular parking (free) will return to the fort on Sunday.

The fort will be open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and admission to the fort will be free throughout Harborfest.

Fort Ontario State Historic Site is one of six historic sites and 16 parks in the Central Region administered by the New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation, Carol Ash – commissioner.
