Literacy Volunteers of Oswego County Family and Books project hosted a Book Drive in late July and early August. The goal was to collect new and gently used children’s books to redistribute them to children within our community.

“We have collected over 650 books and the book drive was more successful than I had hoped for thanks to the concerned people of our community” says Chena Tucker, the book drive organizer.

The books are currently being distributed to schools and centers within our area. Also, Literacy Volunteers of Oswego County will be hosting a booth at the Farnham Family Fun Day on Saturday, September 20th at Breitbeck Park between 1:00 and 4:00 and invites anyone to come down and get a free book!

Recently we dropped off books to the Salvation Army for their after school youth program pictured below. missing or outdated ad config
