OSWEGO – The Oswego Trinity United Methodist Church (UMC) welcomes everyone to its freewill dinner on Sunday, September 6 from 4:30-5:30 pm or until gone. The menu includes pulled pork, roasted potatoes, corn, cupcakes and beverage.
The eat-in dinner will be served downstairs (please use Utica Street entrance). Donations will be accepted, but never expected. The freewill dinners usually occur the first Sunday of each month starting at 4:30. The October 4 dinner will include meatloaf, mac & cheese, green beans, rolls, cake and beverage.
The Trinity UMC Nu2U and Bake Sale is planned for September 11 and 12 from 9 am to 3 pm and September 19 from 9 am until 1 pm. There will be a wide variety of items for sale; something for everyone, including delicious homemade baked goods. The Clothing Bag Sale (half-price sale on most other items) starts at 9 a.m. on September 19.
A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Human Concerns Food Pantry.
Anyone wishing to donate may bring the items to the church beginning September 2 until September 3 from 9 am to 11 am, or call the church for arrangements on a different day or time. Please use the East Utica entrance as the sale is downstairs.
The annual Winter Wear Giveaway is planned for October 10 from 9 am until 1 pm. Please consider donating new or gently worn coats, jackets, snow pants, boots, gloves, mittens and scarves. There is always a great need for coats and jackets for children.
The church is located at 45 East Utica Street, corner of East 4th and Utica, Oswego.
