One weekend every May, Oliver Paine Greenhouses, of 125 South Granby Road, contributes 15% of its’ sales to local non-profit organizations. It’s an on-site fundraising program for organizations to earn 15% of their sales from buying flowers! In the past two years, $15,740 has been donated from Oliver Paine Greenhouses. “People are shopping for plants in May anyways, so now 15% of their plant purchase will go towards their favorite group. It doesn’t get any easier than thatâ€Â, says Oliver Paine.
For groups in the Central New York area, it’s an easy fundraiser. There’s no orders to take, no product to deliver and no cash to account for. All the groups need to do is print and pass out the flyer that Paine’s will provide, and tell their supporters to shop on those two days. The on-site Spring Fundraiser weekend this year will be May 15th and16th.
