Charles E. Riley Elementary school sixth grader, Connor Donahue, achieved an unprecedented feat Wednesday by winning the local spelling bee three years in-a-row. Students are eligible to compete starting in grade 4, and Connor was victorious as a 4th, 5th, and now 6th grade student.
Connor is a dedicated, hard working student who takes his education very seriously. He spent many hours studying in preparation for the spelling bee each year. He sets a prime example of how hard work and determination can allow us to accomplish great things.
Connor will now advance to the Regional Spelling Bee test qualifier. The top scorers on this test will compete in The Post-Standard | syracuse.com’s Final Regional Bee, which will determine the student from our area who will compete in the 2025 Scripps National Spelling Bee.
