Bonnie and Bob Loforte of Mexico recently attended several leadership and training conferences as part of skill building for Education First High School Exchange Year.
Recently promoted to the position of regional coordinators with Education First High School Exchange Year of Cambridge, Mass., the Lofortes are tasked with building a presence for EF in Upstate New York.
Currently, EF has students enrolled in Mexico, APW, Pulaski, Oswego and Central Square.
Exchange students bring their diverse cultures to the US as part of an important public diplomacy program as outlined by the US Department of State.
After training in San Diego and San Juan, Puerto Rico, the Lofortes are seeking qualified individuals in the Hannibal, Phoenix and Northern New York school districts to represent EF in the capacity of international exchange coordinators.
