Admission for this event and the entire festival is free.

“Longley Brothers and the city are sponsoring this 18-piece big band that has opened for the Glenn Miller, Artie Shaw and Tommy Dorsey orchestras,” said Joe Cortini, FJF board president. “We’re grateful for their support as we open this year’s jazz fest a day earlier and get things rolling for our big weekend.”

Steve Falvo of Utica founded the Easy Money Big Band in the fall of 2008.

According to its website (easymoneybigband.webs.com): “Easy Money has become one of the most sought after bands in the area playing music from Bruno Mars, O’Jays, Stevie Wonder, Etta James, Elvis Presley, Michael Buble, Miami Sound Machine, Glenn Miller, Duke Ellington, Bobby Darin, Count Basie, Frank Sinatra, and so many more.”

Cortini also encouraged people to come early and get a bite to eat because both Dingle’s ice cream and Crystal’s hot dog food trucks will be open during the concert.

All additional jazz fest performances will be Friday and Saturday on the outdoor stage behind the Fulton War Memorial.

Tony Monaco, the Hammond B3 Organ “Monster” who headlined the 2014 festival, returns as this year’s featured performer.

The complete lineup is as follows:

7 p.m. Easy Money Big Band
