When Michael Newton, Administrative Supervisor of Oswego Lowe’s, learned that the Oswego County Humane Society was in need of a dehumidifier, he readily offered to donate one. According to Barb Capella OCHS Board member, the OCHS office is located on the ground floor of the Oswego YMCA/Armory and the recent weather had increased the need for relief in order to safeguard supplies and equipment. In addition to normal operations, spaying and neutering operations are performed every Tuesday evening at the OCHS clinic. Capella stated, “Lowe’s quick response to the organization’s problem was very gratifying.”

The Oswego County Humane Society provides spay/neuter assistance, information and referrals, fostering and adoption of companion animals in urgent need, adoption assistance to families, placement of free-roaming cats, and humane education programs. For assistance, call 207-1070.
