MACNY, Alliance Endorse Barclay For Assembly

OSWEGO COUNTY – Assembly Minority Leader Will Barclay (R,C,I,Ref—Pulaski) announced he received the endorsement of the Manufacturers Association of Central New York (MACNY) and the Manufacturers Alliance of New York State (the Alliance) for his re-election to the 120th Assembly District.

MACNY represents more than 300 businesses and organizations employing more than 50,000 individuals across Central and Upstate New York. The Alliance is a statewide organization of manufacturing associations representing more than 5,400 manufacturers and businesses, and more than 181,300 manufacturing jobs.

“Our skilled and talented manufacturing workforce is an asset to the region, state and nation; MACNY and the Alliance advocate tirelessly on their behalf to ensure these businesses operate more effectively and profitably, and in return, offer long-standing careers for numerous residents and their families,” said Leader Barclay. “As state and local officials focus on economic recovery, I believe the manufacturing sector has the potential to jumpstart the state’s economic resurgence. I am thrilled to have the endorsement of these organizations and the men and women they represent.”

Barclay represents the 120th Assembly District, which includes the Oswego County towns of Albion, Amboy, Boylston, Constantia, Granby, Hastings, Mexico, New Haven, Orwell, Palermo, Parish, Redfield, Richland, Sandy Creek, Schroeppel, Scriba, Volney, West Monroe and Williamstown; the cities of Oswego and Fulton; the Onondaga County town of Lysander; and the Jefferson County town of Ellisburg. In January, he was elected unanimously by his colleagues as the Leader of the Assembly Minority Conference.
