OSWEGO, NY – Princess Winnifred (Clare Bawarski) shows strong resolve to land her prince, Dauntless (Daniel Distasio), in SUNY Oswego’s production of “Once Upon a Mattress,” a musical comedy that will enter its second and final weekend at 8 p.m. April 27, with a matinee finale at 2 p.m. April 28, in Tyler Hall’s Waterman Theatre.
The raucous romance, based on the popular fairytale “The Princess and the Pea,” features a domineering queen, a mute king and a rollicking troupe of other Renaissance-era characters in this offering from the college’s theatre and music departments.
New York City-based Stephen Nachamie directs.
