Mary Curio and Ann Marie King visited Fulton Sunrise Rotary to speak about the mission and services provided by Victory Transformation. Located in Oswego they serve men throughout the county in times of need. The organization notes that they are “more than a mission, we are a community”. Victory Transformation offers a hand-up, not a hand-out, by providing emergency housing, critical care needs, a warming shelter, counseling, job training, spiritual support, and other services to those entering their doors. While staying at the house men may help with household maintenance and daily chores, meet with counselors from Farnham or Lakeview as needed, meet with employment specialists, participate in religious studies, receive guidance in filing critical paperwork for other assistance, and participate in a variety of other services that will assist them in becoming self-sufficient. The Victory Café serves the men breakfast and offers lunch at a reasonable price. It is also a source of income for the agency and open to the public. Victory Transformation relies on volunteers, partners, and donations (both monetary and supplies) to maintain many of their vital community services.
