Meghan Yost serving on Heidelberg U.’s Student Alumni Association

TIFFIN, OHIO – Meghan Yost of Mexico has been selected as a member of Heidelberg University’s Student Alumni Association for the 2015-16 academic year.

As a member of the Student Alumni Association, Yost, a senior majoring in History and Political Science, is among a group of 25 students getting a jump start on the responsibilities of becoming Heidelberg alumni.

As members of the SAA, the students serve as liaisons between future students, current students, alumni, donors, friends and the Office of Institutional Advancement & University Relations, and promote student philanthropy across campus.

The group, in its sixth full year of operation on Heidelberg’s campus, meets regularly to plan events and fundraisers that bring awareness to current students about becoming philanthropic after graduation.

Each graduating class will determine how to utilize their funds. In addition, SAA members participate in alumni networking events and other major events on campus.

Their motto is “Students Today, Alumni Tomorrow.”

Founded in 1850, Heidelberg offers 30 majors, 29 minors and 10 pre-professional programs, awarding the bachelor of arts, bachelor of science, bachelor of music degrees, as well as master’s degrees in education, counseling, business administration and music.

Affiliated with the United Church of Christ, Heidelberg has been ranked for 26 consecutive years as one of the top colleges in the Midwest by U.S. News and World Report.
