Mental Health Task Force Plans Health and Wellness Fair April 10

CENTRAL SQUARE – The Central Square School District Mental Health Task Force will host a spring Health and Wellness Fair.

The event will take place on April 10 at Paul V. Moore High School, from 4:30 – 7:30 p.m.

There will be something for everyone in the community, from interactive demonstrations about impaired driving, life-saving CPR techniques and nutrition to presentations on mindfulness, social media and substance use.

There will be close to 50 exhibitors from various community agencies that will be available to answer questions and distribute wellness resources.

Organizations in attendance will provide information related to low-cost insurance programs, counseling and mediation services, addiction and treatment programming, suicide prevention, caregiver assistance, free cancer screenings, nutritional resources, building healthy relationships, maternal and infant health, school-readiness, and social services.

In addition, from 3:30 – 6:30 p.m. in the high school student parking lot, there will be a car seat fitting event being conducted by the Oswego County Traffic Safety Board through a grant provided by the New York State Governor’s Traffic Safety Committee.

This event is free, open to the public and all ages are welcome.

There will be raffle prizes and give-a-ways throughout the night.
