OSWEGO, NY -The Mentor-Scholar Program, for the second year, participated in a service project to honor the Marin Luther King, Jr. holiday with two days of service at Oswego Middle School.
The project, organized by Emily DiFabio, assistant coordinator of Mentor-Scholar, was designed to answer the MLK call to action “what are you doing for others?”
It included Mentor-Scholar students and staff creating fleece blankets to donate to the local youth homeless shelter.
Mentor-Scholar is a long-term mentoring program that engages more than 100 local secondary students and local college students through its partnership with SUNY Oswego and the Oswego City School District.
