Merriment had by Kindergarteners at Royal Ball

On Valentine’s Day, kindergarteners at Lura M. Sharp Elementary attended a royal ball in their gymnasium.

The ball was a culminating activity for their unit on King’s and Queens.

In the unit, kindergarteners learned about tradition and objects used by royalty.

Each student came to the ball with a crown.

Teachers got into the spirit by wearing queen and princess garb.

Students danced to popular children songs, and practiced their manners over a feast of treats and punch.
