SYRACUSE — SUNY Oswego Metro Center, the college’s Syracuse campus, will showcase drawings of costumed figures beginning July 13 as it displays the work of the group Open Figure Drawing.

A free public reception for the artists will take place from 5:30 to 8 p.m., July 16, at SUNY Oswego’s branch of Tyler Art Gallery in the Atrium Building, 2 Clinton Square in Syracuse.
The exhibition will run through Aug. 31.
“Open Figure Drawing has been meeting in Syracuse for 26 years, giving artists the opportunity to draw the figure in a collaborative setting,” said Amy Bartell, assistant director of Tyler Art Gallery. “This group exhibition highlights work of costumed drawing sessions, where the figure, fabric, expression and lighting are explored.”
Hours for the exhibition include 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Mondays through Fridays, although SUNY Oswego Metro Center often is open for additional hours
