The H. Lee White Marine Museum has set the summer 2008 dates for their “Art for Kids” Workshops, during
July (August dates tba). Each session will feature a local guest artist working in a variety of media and are geared for ages 5-12.

The upcoming sessions will feature professional art instructors Bill DeMott, Roey Bannon Pimentel,  and Robin Snyder.  “It’s certainly a wonderful way to enjoy the summer, creating art with the scenic Oswego waterfront as your backdrop,” remarked Carol, Salladin, AmeriCorps member and program coordinator.

Each session is $6 per child ($4 for museum members) and will run approximately two hours with supplies and a snack provided. Participants must pre-register at least one day in advance and can sign up for just one or as many sessions as they wish. A minimum of six students is required for each class.  Kids who attend three workshops, may attend a fourth workshop for half price.

The following sessions are still available:

Monday, July 14th, 10-Noon, “UNDERWATER COLLAGE” with Robin Snyder
Use chalk dust and water along with collage to create a cool effect for an underwater scene.
