FULTON – National Grid has leant its support to Oswego County Opportunities (OCO) Giving Thanks Food and Beverage Pairing event by signing on as a Major Sponsor.

OCO’s Giving Thanks Food and Beverage Paring event will feature signature delicacies from a variety local restaurants and eateries paired with beverages chosen by Eagle Beverage Company to complement each dish. Entertainment for the evening will be provided by local singer/songwriter Tim Forbes.

To be held November 1st at the Lake Ontario Event and Conference Center on East First Street in Oswego, OCO’s Giving Thanks Food and Beverage Pairing event serves as a fundraiser for OCO’s “There’s No Place Like A Home” initiative that focuses on providing shelter and supportive services to individuals and families facing a variety of challenges, including those with disabilities, mental health concerns, domestic violence, substance abuse, and homelessness.

“National Grid is proud to work with Oswego County Opportunities as their supportive services provide a lifeline for the community,” said Alberto Bianchetti, National Grid’s regional director of customer and external affairs. “Our support for ‘There’s No Place Like A Home’ is an investment in a brighter, more inclusive future for those they serve.”

“Our ‘There’s No Place Like A Home’ theme has been the impetus for all of our activities and events this year,” explained OCO Development Coordinator Bridget Dolbear. “We envision a community where everyone has a safe and secure place to call home. The support we receive from such a community minded company as National Grid allows us to continue to provide not just shelter, but essential supportive services to help people rebuild their lives and become self-sufficient. Proceeds from our Giving Thanks Food and Beverage Pairing will support programs that are aimed at providing those services.”
