OSWEGO, NY – The congregation of the Southwest Oswego United Methodist Church is preparing for their annual Live Nativity and Nativities by Candlelight.

On Dec. 13 from 6 until 8 p.m. the church members will present a tableau of the special night at Bethlehem when Christ was born in the manger, including live animals.

The scene will take place outside in the shed.

Inside the church sanctuary over one hundred nativity sets will be on display by candlelight.

The Nativity sets, on loan from church families and friends, have in past years ranged in size from a scene in a walnut shell to a large white ceramic set.

Stories about the sets will be on display as well.

A very special addition to the evening will be the Tri-County Singers’ performance of “Noel, Jesus Is Born” at 6:30 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall.

Cookies and cocoa will be served.

The church is located at 7721 State Route 104 West.
