New Program Offered At Oswego Public Library

OSWEGO – The “1,000 Books Before Kindergarten” Program is now being offered at the Oswego Public Library.

The goal is to read 1,000 books to your child before they start kindergarten.

The library will provide you with a folder when you sign your child up for the program.

It includes a tip sheet on 20 ways to raise a book-smart baby, a list of books that your child should hear before kindergarten, and a sheet to help keep track of the first 100 books you read.

After every 100 books read, your child will receive a sticker to celebrate their accomplishment and a new sheet to track the next 100 books.

When they finish 1,000 books they will receive a certificate to acknowledge that they have successfully finished the program.

The concept is simple.

The reward is priceless.

Come to the library and sign up your child.

All Children’s Room Programs at the Oswego Public Library are free and open to the public.

Please call Karen Swartz at 315-341-5867 for more information.
