OSWEGO – Salvation Army Lt. Michael Dow was recently inducted into membership in the Oswego Rotary Club, meeting at Bishop’s Commons. He and his wife, Lt. Cassidy Dow, were appointed in July to lead the Oswego County Salvation Army Corps.
Lt. Dow, a native of Bangor, Maine, grew up in The Salvation Army so his familiarity with its many services to people in need led him to become an officer. The Dows’ first appointment after training was the Saratoga Springs Corps where they served for two years before coming to Oswego.
Lt. Dow spoke briefly about some of his recent activities to become acquainted with the Oswego Corps and its congregation and volunteers. He is also very engaged in meeting leaders and learning of resources and needs of other service organizations in Oswego County. High on the Dows’ priorities is preparing for the many activities traditionally associated with Christmas.
