Mexico High School senior and New Vision Business student, Alyssa Facteau, joins Chirello Advertising and Marketing this school year as the agency’s newest intern, said Steve Chirello, agency owner.
The New Vision program is partnered with the Center for Instruction, Technology and Innovation (CiTi, formerly known as Oswego County BOCES) located in Mexico and the State University of Oswego to assist bright high school students in expanding their knowledge and experience before entering college, Chirello said.
The unique New Vision curriculum consists of students attending college classes at SUNY Oswego and on-site rotations at various locations pertaining to their intended field of study.
Students not only earn 12 college credits, but also valuable real-world experience.
The New Vision Business program, the newest field of study, was added this fall and joins the already established, Allied Health, Law and Government, and Specialized Careers divisions.
“We are delighted to have Allyson on board for this semester and to be participating in New Vision,” Chirello said. “Alyssa will be working with us in writing and research for promotions targeted to clients in retail, financial, institutional and professional services.”
