OSWEGO COUNTY – NewsChannel9’s Christie Casciano stopped by Hastings-Mallory Elementary in mid-January to share lessons about teamwork and helping each other grow through the lens of ice hockey.
Casciano, her daughter Sophia who is featured in the book and the book’s illustrator Rose Mary Casciano Moziak were all on hand to share a few chapters of the book and engaged with the students via some games that featured teachers.
Selfless acts and working together are prominently highlighted throughout the books, of which Principal Michael Smolnik said a number of copies would be made available through the school’s library.
