Niess: Thanks For The Support, I’m Still Running

OSWEGO, NY – I would like to thank the voters of the Oswego County 15th District and all the districts for coming out to vote in the Sept. 15th Primary.

Primaries are notorious for low voter turnout so your dedication to the process is much appreciated.

Although I did not win the primary it was a great experience.

I met many new faces in my greater 15th District neighborhood.

The district runs south of Utica Street to Kingsford Woods, to the Oswego River and west to Hillside Ave., County Route 7 and Byer Road.

I also want to clarify a possible misconception; I did not seek the endorsement of the city or county Democratic committees.

I wanted to run on my own without ties to either party.

I also wish to remind voters that I will be running in the Nov. 3rd election for the 15th Legislative seat as an Independent on the Time for Change line.

If you want to see a progressive candidate in your County Legislature, please consider voting for me.

Thank you

Mercedes Niess
