OSWEGO, N.Y. – Constellation Energy Nuclear Group’s Nine Mile Point Nuclear Station employees are proud to support their community and recently collected and donated winter clothing to Catholic Charities.
The winter clothing drive brought in over 50 coats for donation. In addition, with the help of the Oswego branch of JCPenney and funds from Constellation’s Community Council, new winter coats, hats, gloves and scarves, valued at over $2,300, were able to be donated. With help from NMP employees and Oswego’s JCPenney, 26 coats for men, 20 coats for women, 34 coats for children and 58 winter accessories have been donated.
“Community service is a core value at CENG and is achieved through our employee’s involvement, Ken Geary said, NMP Community Council President.
Catholic Charities is a national organization that provides service to people in need regardless of religious, social or economic backgrounds. They provide help and create hope for over 9 million people of all faiths a year.
