PULASKI – On May 7, the community of Pualski will come together to give Shirley and Bob North a benefit party at Pulaski’s Ringgold Fire Hall, from 11:30 a.m. until 6:30 p.m.
The North family has endured two years of major medical issues.
Shirley North makes frequent trips to Sloan Kettering Hospital in New York City for cancer treatments. Robert North is recovering from several operations with the most recent being major back surgery.
Their two daughters, with families, are both working professionals and have exhausted all their sick and family days.
The family lives in Pulaski and over the years has been involved in public office, community service and various other aspects of living in a small town. Most importantly, they have always given to others and never asked for anything in return.
The committee for the North Family hopes to make this a memorable event.
It will include a chicken barbecue (served from 11:30 a.m. until sold out), music, silent auction, 50-50 raffle and a live auction at 4 p.m.with Jeff Gibbs (Jumpin Jeff). Golf outings, fishing gear and a case of wine are some of the items that will be auctioned.
Tickets (with two chances to win) for a choice of a Thousand Island get-away or a big screen TV are on sale now. Drawing for all prizes will be at 6 p.m.
You need not be present to win.
