Notice to Families of The Central School District

CENTRAL SQUARE, NY –  The Central Square School District has been notified by USDA (United States Department of Agriculture) and our dairy supplier that there is a nationwide shortage of half-pint paper cartons for milk packaging
and a shortage of fat-free chocolate milk.

Due to circumstances beyond our control, our district will be switching over to purchasing gallons of white 1% milk only and pouring individual cups for students with an anticipated start date of this upcoming Monday, November 6, 2023, for an indefinite period of time. With this switch, our school district remains in compliance with all state and federal regulations.

Thank you for your patience while we work through this shortage.
Sincerely,

Amy Catlin
School Lunch Director
