Novelis Supports The United Way

FULTON, NY – Mike Anthony, campaign coordinator for the Novelis Employee Campaign in support of the United Way, recently met with United Way board member Dr. Richard Tesoriero to discuss the progress of their campaign.

Novelis’ campaign is once again doing better than expected and should finish well ahead of its goal and raise more than $72,000 for the United Way.

Resource Development Director for the United Way Lois Luber, praised the employees of Novelis and was impressed by the overwhelming support that they showed for those less fortunate in Oswego County by supporting their United Way.

“We recognize and appreciate all that Novelis’ employees and corporate does for the people of Oswego County,” said Luber. “Mike did a wonderful job with the employee campaign. His enthusiasm for the United Way and his dedication to the success of the Novelis campaign play an important role as he inspires his fellow employees to give back to the community. His efforts to share the mission of the United Way and the encouragement he receives from the Novelis Corporation are truly commendable.”

With Novelis’ campaign entering its final days, Anthony is looking forward to seeing just how far ahead of its goal the campaign will finish when the final numbers come in.

“With the support we will receive from our Cold Mill employees I am confident that we will surpass our goal. Even during these economic hard times the Novelis family recognizes the hardships endured by our community and have stepped up by offering a helping hand. It makes me very proud to be associated with the employees at Novelis,” said Anthony.

John Mosher, human resources manager at Novelis, echoed Anthony’s praise of Novelis’ employees and spoke of the company’s commitment to the United Way.

“The United Way provides services and funding for agencies and programs that make a significant positive impact on our community. Novelis is proud to be able to partner with the United Way in supporting these important initiatives. Through the generosity of our employees, we were able to exceed our campaign goals, both from dollars raised and level of participation. I would like to personally thank my colleagues at Novelis for their continued support of the needs in our community, and the agencies for providing the much needed and appreciated services,” said Mosher.
