FULTON – One of the area’s most anticipated golf tournaments, United Way of Greater Oswego County’s Annual Charity Golf Classic, is scheduled for Friday, June 26th, at Battle Island State Park.
Captain and crew teams at the 31st annual golf outing will be treated to a great day of golf on a beautiful course, where there will be good food, good friends and good fun, all for a great cause.
United Way of Oswego County is excited to welcome back Novelis as the Premier Sponsor for the event. “This event would not be possible without the continued support from Novelis, and we couldn’t be more grateful to them”, said Executive Director Patrick Dewine. “Novelis has been a steadfast sponsor, year after year, and we look forward to welcoming them back this year”, added Dewine.
Novelis, the world leader in aluminum rolling and recycling, has been a tremendous community partner to United Way of Oswego County, believing in our vision and mission, and serving as a funding stream to 22 human service programs that directly support our must vulnerable populations across Oswego County.
“This year’s tournament will be an enjoyable day for everyone,” continued Dewine. “There will be the usual on-course games such as longest drive, closest to the pin, putting contest and a chance to win a new automobile with the Burritt Motors Hole-in-One contest, along with a 50/50 drawing, and drawings to win a Yeli cooler on wheels/liquor store certificate/and Sausage Shack certificate, lottery tickets and a local business raffle with gift certificates to area restaurants and businesses.”

United Way’s golf committee has spent several months working diligently to ensure that all golfers and sponsors enjoy a great day of golf and to make a lasting impact in our county. This year’s golf committee consists of Matt Bacon, Connie Ryan, Dick Delaney (Novelis-Retired), Tara Hathway, Anthony Meola (Novelis), and John Ferry (United Way).
