NYSUT Endorses Barclay For Assembly

OSWEGO COUNTY – Assembly Minority Leader Will Barclay (R,C,I,Ref-Pulaski) announced that he is pleased to have the support of New York State United Teachers (NYSUT) for his re-election to the 120th Assembly seat.

NYSUT represents more than 600,000 individuals who work in, or are retired from, New York’s colleges and healthcare facilities.

As one of the state’s most active and visible advocates for education, NYSUT represents classroom teachers, college and university faculty and professional staff, school bus drivers, custodians, secretaries, cafeteria workers, teachers’ assistants and aides, nurses and healthcare technicians.

“On education issues, from Common Core to adequate funding to distance learning, NYSUT has been front and center on behalf of teachers, students and education professionals,” Barclay said. “I greatly appreciate their support. As teachers and students continue to adjust to today’s unprecedented times, I look forward to our continued partnership to protect and assist our educational system.”

Barclay represents the 120th Assembly District, which includes the Oswego County towns of Albion, Amboy, Boylston, Constantia, Granby, Hastings, Mexico, New Haven, Orwell, Palermo, Parish, Redfield, Richland, Sandy Creek, Schroeppel, Scriba, Volney, West Monroe and Williamstown; the cities of Oswego and Fulton; the Onondaga County town of Lysander; and the Jefferson County town of Ellisburg.
