OSWEGO, NY – Oswego Health recently presented its Kathleen O’Connor Scholarship.
O’Connor was a dedicated nurse who began her career in healthcare as an aide.
Through the years, she advanced her career by first becoming a licensed practical nurse and then a registered nurse.
During her employment at Oswego Hospital, she worked in several departments including the former extended care facility, medical surgery and the emergency department.
Patricia Chipman, a licensed practical nurse at Oswego Hospital, will use the $500 scholarship to earn her registered nursing degree at the Crouse School of Nursing.
