OCO Welcomes Heidi Washington To Fulton Health Center

FULTON, NY – Director of OCO’s Health Services Division Ellen Holst announced that Heidi Washington has joined the medical staff at OCO’s Fulton Health Center.

The talented physician’s assistant is a welcome addition to the busy health center that provides a wide array of healthcare services including: family practice, pediatrics, adult medicine, women’s health and education.

Washington, who received her physician’s assistant degree from LeMoyne College in Syracuse, brings with her a love of medicine and the desire to serve others.

“I’m excited to be a part of the staff at the Fulton Health Center,” said Washington. “I have always been interested in family medicine and my visit to OCO’s Fulton Health Center was an excellent experience. They have a very talented staff and I enjoy seeing the population that the health center serves.”

Washington added that she also enjoys the many opportunities that her position at the OCO Fulton Health Center affords her.

“I like being able to serve a wide range of patients from pediatric to adult, and I enjoy the educational aspect of my job as well. Education and preventative medicine is extremely important as many health problems can be prevented if properly addressed. Our patients are very respectful and open to learning. They are very appreciative of the services we offer and I’m happy to be able to provide them with the health care they need,” she said.

With health centers in Fulton and Oswego, OCO plays a major role as a healthcare provider for those who live in Oswego County.

“Our health centers are staffed with medical professionals who provide our patients with a high quality of care. They truly care about the population they serve. I am happy to welcome Heidi to our medical staff and am confident that our patients will pleased with the care she provides,” said Holst.

OCO’s Health Centers offer a full range of primary care services for the whole family, including women’s reproductive health issues.

In addition, it also offers specialty services such as colposcopies, which test for cervical cancer, and endometrial biopsies, which test for uterine cancer.

OCO Health Centers participate with most commercial health insurances, making the services offered at the health centers available to all those looking for quality health care from skilled, medical professionals.

Some services are offered at a sliding fee scale, making them affordable to most individuals.

In addition, OCO’s Facilitated Enrollment program can help families and individuals apply to receive the medical insurance they need and OCO’s Family Planning Benefits Program allows eligible enrollees to receive 100% coverage for women’s health services.

OCO’s Fulton Health Center, 522 S. Fourth St., is open Mondays from 8:30 a.m. – 7 p.m., Tuesdays from 8:30 a.m. – 5 p.m., Wednesdays through Fridays from 8:30 a.m. – 6 p.m. and alternating Saturdays from 8:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
