OCSD Retirees Recognized And Thanked

OSWEGO, NY – “The Oswego City School District thanks you for the service,” read the engraved plate on the clocks received by recent retirees.

During the opening ceremonies for the 2008-09 school year Acting Superintendent of Schools Bill Crist recognized the dedication, services and loyalty of long-time district employees who had decided to retire.

Four retirees were present to accept the well-wishes and congratulations from the nearly 400 employees at the ceremony in Oswego High School Ralph M. Faust Theatre for the Performing Arts.

Accepting their memento for service to the district were account clerk-typist Judy Cole, school bus driver Sandra Hawe and teachers Alissa Gehan and Tom Quirk.

Also recognized during the ceremony were teachers Norma Barnes, Robert Burt, Lois Campbell, Margaret Dixon, J. Thomas Doran, Thomas Frawley, Paula Guido, Rosa Lee Middleton, Mary Lee Miles, Lynda Ryan and Susan Swindells along with social worker Margaret Quigley.

Others recognized were custodians Anthony Bogawitch, Gary Caprin Sr., and Sharon Watson as well as cook Francis Broadwell, and school bus driver Francis Zeller. missing or outdated ad config
