Office for the Aging Will Distribute Farmers Market Coupon Booklets

The Oswego County Office for the Aging will distribute Farmers Market Coupon Booklets again this year. The value of the booklets is $20.

People aged 60 and over whose gross income is at or below 185 % of the federal poverty guidelines ($1,670 monthly for a single person or $2,246 monthly for a married couple) are eligible to participate in the program.
On July 29 and 30, coupon booklets may be picked up at the Office for the Aging in the Oswego County Office Complex ,70 Bunner St., Oswego between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m.

Depending upon availability, the Office for the Aging staff is scheduled to distribute the booklets at the following Senior Nutrition sites between 10:30 a.m. and noon on the following dates:

• Tuesday, Aug. 4: Pontiac Terrace Apartments, Oswego; and Fulton Municipal Center, Fulton.
• Wednesday, Aug. 5: Presbyterian Church, Mexico; and Hannibal Community Library.
• Thursday, Aug. 6: St. Bernadette’s Church, Constantia; and Presbyterian Church, Parish.
• Friday, Aug: 7: Congregational Church, Phoenix; and Ringgold Fire Department, Pulaski.

There are a limited number of coupon booklets available, and distribution will be on a first-come, first-served basis. There is a limit to one booklet per household.
