OSWEGO, NY – Students in Oswego High School’s Modern Novels class, recently welcomed Oswego Police Officer Jim LaDue and his canine partner, Crixius.

This unique opportunity included time for students to interact with Crixius, view a training video, ask multiple questions and see a demonstration of Officer LaDue and Crixius in action.
The hands-on interaction and discussion provided by the visit, fostered a firsthand understanding of how the bond of loyalty, trust and mutual respect is cultivated between handler and dog, ultimately providing a clearer understanding of their current novel Top Dog: The Story of Marine Hero Lucca.
