OSWEGO – With a goal of helping young families in the community, the Oswego High School National Honor Society recently collected diapers, wipes, and pull-ups, which were donated to the Oswego County Department of Social Services.

According to NHS advisor Kayley Morse, the NHS hosts a variety of events throughout the year to help those in need. This year was the first effort of its kind, with more than 1,000 diapers collected throughout the month of April. Morse noted that she hopes this becomes an annual event to meet the needs of the county’s youngest residents.

“This year, more than ever, it was very important for our club to find ways to help the Oswego community,” she said. “We are proud to help with such a worthy cause and look forward to finding more ways to help those in need in the new year.”
