Burger is a certified Judy Niemeyer Quiltworx instructor, trained at the Quiltworx studios in Kalispell, Montana.

She is also known for helping quilters develop their selection of fabrics, textures and colors to showcase chosen quilt patterns.

On May 22, Burger will teach a Niemeyer paper-piecing technique workshop on the Negative Space design created by Cindy McCracken, a Quiltworx designer.

The 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. workshop will be held at Stone Presbyterian Church, 140 Chestnut St., Watertown.

Participants will complete a block and learn the technique needed to duplicate the block to make a runner, pillow, tote bag or quilt.

Pre-registration is required; cost is $40 for Guild members, $50 for non-members. Contact Alice Draper at 13876 Bishop St., Adams, NY 13605, 315-232-4373, [email protected].
