Oswego Bookmobile Marks Milestones with the Tarandi Foundation

OSWEGO –  July 31, 2025 — The Oswego Bookmobile thanks the Tarandi Foundation for their $10,000 sustainability grant, $2,500 per year, over the next four years. This grant will support the Driving Books Home summer program. The Tarandi Foundation has played a crucial role in the development of the program, from funding for the purchase of the original bookmobile to programming and the new, fully accessible bookmobile. This partnership has helped drive meaningful progress in outreach and education.

“Thanks to the continued generous support of the Tarandi Foundation, Oswego Bookmobile continues to deliver free books and STEAM activities to young readers across our community. We’re proud to keep the joy of learning rolling!” said Susan McBrearty, president of Oswego Bookmobile.

The Tarandi Foundation’s contributions make it possible to reach more children in the 2025 summer program. Together, we continue to drive excitement for reading and learning among youth and families in Oswego, Fulton, Hannibal, Mexico, and Pulaski.

The support of the Tarandi Foundation, along with local businesses, community organizations, and foundations, made the 2025 summer program possible. Thanks to their continued community support, Oswego Bookmobile continues to drive books home, advancing literacy and learning in fresh, meaningful ways.
