Oswego Bookmobile Names New Board President, Matt McCrobie

Oswego Bookmobile, a nonprofit dedicated to delivering free books to Oswego County youth throughout the summer, announces two changes to its board of directors.

Matt McCrobie, board member and former vice president since 2021, assumed the position of president.

“I am honored to serve as president of the Oswego Bookmobile and continue the important work of expanding access to books for children throughout Oswego County,” McCrobie said. “As a father, the mission is close to my heart. I look forward to working with our volunteers, supporters and community partners to ensure even more children experience the joy and benefits of reading.”

Susan McBrearty has retired as president. She will remain active with the organization as a member of the board of directors and the Bookmobile’s grant writer. She is also serving as interim treasurer while the board recruits a permanent treasurer.

“It has been a pleasure to work with our community developing the bookmobile program,” McBrearty said. “I am excited to see it evolve under Matt’s inspired leadership. Here’s to many successful years driving books home!”
