The Oswego Bookmobile reached a milestone with the arrival of its new bus on Wednesday, March 19. This marks a new chapter for the organization, allowing it to expand literacy services to Fulton, Hannibal, Mexico and Pulaski.

The contributions of donors and community members enables the Oswego Bookmobile to reach these additional areas, providing more children and families access to free books and engaging STEAM activities. The upgraded bus comes equipped with enhanced features, including a chair lift, designed to create an even more welcoming and enriching experience for young readers.

“We are beyond grateful for the incredible support we’ve received from our community and are still committed to serving the city that has supported us since our inception”, said Susan McBrearty, president of the Oswego Bookmobile. “This new bus represents more than just access to books; it is a valuable resource for all the children and families in our county.”

Oswego Bookmobile is preparing to welcome returning and new young readers and their families to the bus this summer. The public is invited to stay updated on upcoming stops and programming details by visiting the website and following the Bookmobile’s Facebook and Instagram pages.
