Oswego County Bar Association Reviews of Judicial Candidates

The Oswego County Bar Association recently voted to approve the report of the Judicial Screening Committee that found both candidates for Oswego County Family Court, to wit: James K. Eby and Lou Anne Rucynski Coleman, to be “Recommended as Qualified” for the position.

Also, the association approved the recommendation of the Judicial Screening Committee that found both candidates for Supreme Court, Fifth Judicial District, to wit:
Brian F. DeJoseph and Robert O’Leary, to be “Recommended as Qualified”.

In order to receive that rating, the candidates were judged on the following qualifications:

COURTEOUSNESS, DIGNITY, DILIGENCE, FAIRNESS, FREEDOM FROM PREJUDICE, IMPARTIALITY, INTEGRITY, PROFESSIONAL COMPETENCE, PROMPTNESS AND TEMPERAMENT.

The association’s goal in reviewing the candidates for these positions is to look for judicial excellence.
