MEXICO, NY – Oswego County BOCES Career and Technical Education held its awards ceremonies recently for both morning and afternoon students.
The ceremonies, hosted by CTE Director Ronald Camp and Guidance Counselor Carol Watros, recognized hundreds of students for their outstanding achievement at the Burton Ramer Technical Career Center at OCB.
Camp and Watros, with assistance from Kathy Finnerty, curriculum specialist, and various staff members, presented awards and scholarships to program participants, along with recognizing special student activities and achievements within the past school year.
WorkKeys participants, SkillsUSA participants, National Technical Honor Society members, and Motorsports Fabrication Mini-Chopper Build-Off Winners were among the few highlights of special activities and achievements.
Following the individual award presentations, a video presentation created by Mark Ellis and students from his Computer Systems and Networking program played for the students, staff, and audience members.
The presentation was set to music and had highlights from the school year.
Reflecting back on the school year, Camp said, “This ceremony is an excellent way to recognize our students for all of their amazing accomplishments this year.â€ÂÂ
