Oswego County Federal Credit Union (OCFCU) and the Beacon Hotel, 75 W. Bridge St., Oswego, have teamed up to sponsor a Trivia Night from 6:30-9:30 p.m. Friday at the hotel, it was announced by Ashley Galloway, OCFCU member services representative and event chair.
“All proceeds from this event will be donated to the Academic & Community Enrichment (ACE) afterschool program at Fairley Elementary School, Hannibal,” Galloway said. “ Teams of up to 5 people will battle it out answering questions about everything from local history, food and drink, sports and leisure, and more. And it’s just $25 per team to play.
“ A group of eight Fairley teachers are volunteering their time to run the ACE After School program. Twenty-one second grade students, who will be chosen by their teachers, will be invited to engage in healthy and productive learning activities outside of the regular school day.
“A program like this can make an incredible difference in their future. All proceeds will help purchase supplies, food and materials to enrich these students’ lives.”
