OSWEGO, NY – February 14, 2024, Employees and their families from Oswego County Federal Credit Union (OCFCU), in partnership with Nine Mile Point Nuclear Station, have completed the ninth “Gloves with Love” initiative on January 29 and 30. This community event involved the distribution of collected hats, mittens, gloves, and scarves on trees in various parks throughout Oswego, NY, Fulton, NY, and Mexico, NY, ensuring those in need have access to essential winter clothing.
Bill Carhart, CEO of Oswego County Federal Credit Union, emphasized the significance of community support, saying, “The Board and Staff of Oswego County FCU would like to thank all of those who donated to our ‘Gloves with Love’ campaign. Thanks to the generosity of our community, we distributed items between several of the areas we serve. We are thrilled to continue this annual tradition and look forward to further supporting our area through future campaigns and initiatives.”
Items were collected throughout the holiday season at Oswego County FCU locations to provide local community members with appropriate clothing for winter. Additional items were donated to the resource officers of local area schools.
