The USAT Sanctioned Splash & Dash is a youth aquathlon consisting of a timed 200-yard indoor swim followed by a 1.6-mile run where youth athletes will run side-by-side with adult triathletes to the event’s finish line in Breitbeck Park.

The Oswego event is part of the USAT Splash & Dash Series making it one of only fifty events of its kind being held in the United States this year.

“The Oswego County FCU has long been committed to serving the community of Oswego.  We are very proud to be the sponsor of the Splash and Dash this year. As kids nationwide struggle with obesity events like the splash and dash are sorely needed to keep our kids active and healthy.” said Bill Carhart, CEO of Oswego County Federal Credit Union

“We are providing a very unique experience for our children” said Christopher Jones, assistant race director for Tri-Oswego. “Several races offer youth elements but few, if any, have youth athletes running next to adult athletes and crossing the finish line together at a major event. We have done this in a safe, family friendly, community driven event that will hopefully encourage the next generation of multi-sport athletes.”

Registration for the Tri-Oswego Splash & Dash is open to children ages 11-15 years old. The $25 registration includes a required One-Day USAT membership, race shirt, finisher’s medal, and cool race swag.
