Oswego County Federal Credit Union Launches Merchandise Fundraiser to Benefit David’s Refuge

OSWEGO – Oswego County Federal Credit Union (OCFCU) has launched a merchandise fundraiser to support David’s Refuge, a Central New York non-profit dedicated to providing respite, resources, and support to parents and guardians of children with special needs or life-threatening medical conditions. The fundraiser will feature co-branded tumblers, hoodies, t-shirts, tote bags, and hats, with all proceeds benefiting David’s Refuge.

Merchandise will be available for purchase at OCFCU branches, to raise funds to further David’s Refuge’s mission of refreshing, restoring, and renewing caregivers. David’s Refuge provides crucial support to families who often experience exhaustion and isolation in their caregiving roles. Serving families across New York State, the organization expects to receive more than 1,000 applications for services in 2024. OCFCU hopes to raise awareness and funds to sustain this invaluable work through this partnership.

Founded in 2012, David’s Refuge supports caregivers across New York by providing essential respite, wellness, and community programs. Key services include fully funded, two-night overnight respite retreats that foster connection among caregivers, year-round community events to combat social isolation, and wellness initiatives that offer mental health counseling and education on physical, nutritional, spiritual, and financial well-being.
