OSWEGO, NY, February 20, 2024- On February 10, Oswego County Federal Credit Union (OCFCU) participated in its second Love Out Loud initiative, a community-focused program aimed at spreading love, positivity, and kindness throughout Oswego, NY, Fulton, NY, Mexico, NY, and Phoenix, NY. The initiative, launched in the summer of 2023, involved each of the credit union’s branches engaging in acts of kindness.
With a $2,500 budget, flowers adorned with positive quotes, cookies, and gift cards were distributed to patrons and workers at local establishments including shops, salons, and public service stations. Acts of kindness ranged from paying for meals, gas, and groceries to leaving tips and fostering a positive atmosphere throughout the area.
Aimee Glerum, Vice President of Lending at OCFCU and organizer of the Love Out Loud initiative, shared, “This was a very successful day! Our team was thrilled to give back to the communities we serve and was met with so much warmth and appreciation. We received many kind words and smiles.” Glerum added, “I am so proud of the love and positivity we helped spread and look forward to our next Love Out Loud event.”
