OSWEGO COUNTY – The Oswego County Department of Mobility Management offers free park-n-ride transportation to the New York State Fair this year! Oswego County Public Transit buses will be available in Fulton and Oswego on Saturday, Aug. 24 and in Central Square and Phoenix on Saturday, Aug. 31.
“We’re very excited to offer free transportation to the New York State Fair this year,” said Oswego County Director of Mobility Management Heather Snow. “Residents have expressed a lot of interest in park-n-ride shuttles to the fair. Our Oswego County Public Transit buses provide a simple and convenient way to get to the fairgrounds, with multiple departure and return times.”
The Fulton shuttle stop is at the local campus of Cayuga Community College (CCC), 11 River Glen Dr. on Saturday, Aug. 24. Departure and return trips are approximately 45 minutes each.
- Departure times from CCC are 10 a.m.; noon; 2:25 p.m.; 4:25 p.m.; and 6:25 p.m.
- Return trips leave the NYS Fair at 11 a.m.; 1 p.m.; 3:25 p.m.; 5:25 p.m.; and 8:10 p.m.
The Oswego shuttle stop is at the Oswego High School, 2 Buccaneer Blvd. on Saturday, Aug. 24. Bus rides are approximately one hour each way.
- Departure times from the school are 10 a.m.; 12:30 p.m.; 3:25 p.m.; and 5:55 p.m.
- Return trips leave the NYS Fair at 11:15 a.m.; 1:45 p.m.; 4:40 p.m.; and 7:55 p.m.
On Saturday, Aug. 31, a shuttle runs from the Central Square Walmart, 3018 East Ave., to the Three Rivers Plaza, 219 Co. Rte. 57, Phoenix, to the NYS Fair. Each trip is about an hour.
- Departure times from Central Square are 10 a.m.; 12:10 p.m.; 2:45 p.m.; and 4:55 p.m.
- Departure times from Phoenix are 10:40 a.m.; 12:50 p.m.; 3:25 p.m.; and 5:35 p.m.
- Return trips leave the NYS Fair at 11:20 a.m.; 1:30 p.m.; 4:05 p.m.; 6:15 p.m.; and 8 p.m.
All passengers taking the Oswego County Public Transit buses to the NYS Fair will be dropped off and picked up in the Pink Lot across State Fair Boulevard near the Toyota Coliseum.
