The Oswego County Office for the Aging will sponsor a free informational seminar from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 16, to educate consumers on long-term care insurance.  The seminar is sponsored by the office’s long-term care insurance education and outreach program.

“Many people fail to think about long-term care coverage until the need arises,” said Sara Sunday, aging specialist at the Oswego County Office for the Aging. “Waiting until you need coverage is too late.”

The seminar will provide people with unbiased information regarding options for  future long-term health care needs including information on New York State Partnership policies. Sunday said that New York State does not endorse or recommend any specific insurance product or insurer or insurer; this program is solely intended to educate consumers about their choices.

The seminar will be held in the training room at the Nick Sterio Public Health Center, 70 Bunner St., Oswego. To reserve a seat, call the Office for the Aging weekdays at 349-3484. missing or outdated ad config
